The Growth Engineer is a specialised business transformation consultancy led by Charles Barnard, a seasoned Interim GM, business coach and author. I help small and mid-sized companies improve performance through a practical combination of strategy, systems, culture and leadership.

My work blends three core capabilities:
1. Business Reset & Turnaround
Supporting owners through operational bottlenecks, culture challenges, and financial pressure by implementing clear frameworks and disciplined execution.
2. Leadership & Team Development
Using a suite of proprietary workshop-based tools — including the 9-Module Business Transformation System — to strengthen clarity, accountability and capability across teams.
3. Coaching & Implementation Support
Guiding business owners through structured programs that connect cash, culture and leadership, ensuring growth is sustainable and transferable.

I work across Sydney and regional NSW, with experience spanning manufacturing, fabrication, industrial services, and professional services. My approach is grounded in engineering discipline, systems thinking, and a strong focus on helping owners avoid “entrepreneurial poverty” by building businesses that work without over-relying on them.

My long-term goal is to build a scalable, saleable advisory and training platform using workshops, group programs, licensed facilitators and digital learning tools.
